Bar Knowledge - Chamonix 2006
You snow it makes sense....
 Dig out your woolly hat and scarf, and brush up on your French because London’s leading intimate drum & bass and breaks showdown BarKnowledge is heading to the Alps for the season.
Having ripped London to shreds for the past three years - first at The Charterhouse, and currently at Brick Lane’s throbbing Café 1001 - BarKnowledge is practising its parallel turns and half-pipe technique for its first winter season in the delightful French town of Chamonix.
Where better to throw together the blistering sounds of drum & bass, breaks and hip hop, and knock back a few cheeky Jagermeisters, than in the extreme sports capital of Europe? After a hard day on the slopes, expect an even harder night in Club Cantina as BarKnowledge’s Alpine resident slash crack professional snowboarder Scott Nixon and very special guests, get to work on a huge stack of vinyl.
Top drawer spinners already lined up to appear include the mighty Mixologists, formidable drum & bass and breaks DJ Aquasky and Ram Records’ Shimon, with plenty of other big name guests waiting in the wings.
"I’m really looking forward to hosting a BarKnowledge night in the mountains, it promises to be one of the biggest nights around," says DJ Scott Nixon.
Bar Knowledge kicks off on Dec 29 (why head over to Chamonix this year?) then takes place on Jan 26 and Feb 24 with Shimon, Mar 30: SuperStyleDeluxe, MC Chickaboo and Apr 2: details TBC
