You wouldn't think that a professional career in modelling would lead to becoming one of the country's most sought after hard house DJs, but that is exactly what happened to Charlotte Birch. Originally from Birmingham, the 28 year old lingerie model is fast becoming one of Pure DJ's biggest hard house DJs. We caught up with her to find out how she’s feeling about her upcoming performance at the Tidy ‘Magna Revolution’...

Have you been to Magna before?

"No always playing elsewhere. This will be my first time and I’m well looking forward to it."

What are you most looking forward to with your first ever gig there?

"I’ve played at the Tidy Weekender 5 and it was amazing. I’ve heard good reports about Magna so can’t wait to experience it first hand. I’m also playing B2B with Lisa Pin Up which I’m also looking forward to."

Currently, what is the most memorable venue you've played at?

"I think that would have to be 4 Elements at the Ahoy Stadium, Rotterdam or the Rotterdam Street Parade to 40k people on the back of a lorry."

What, in your eyes, makes the ultimate gig?

"Several things really, wicked venue, amazing lighting and lazers, quality sound system and mad for it clubbers. A good after party never goes a miss either!"

Do you have anything special up your sleeve for the Magna Revolution?

"Loads of new material will be getting road tested at Magna, loads of mix CD’s to give away (so make sure you’re at the front for my set!!!) Although I do love watching a good scrum as I throw them out!"

As you know, the event is based on a communist theme, how are you with rules? Do you often break them?

"Everyday!!! I only have to get in my car and I’ve probably broken 5 laws! I’m a nightmare sticking to any rules or regulations, they are there to be broken!"

If you we're to revolt against anything in your life or the world, what would it be?

Legalise Cannabis, free the weed man!!!"

What's your tune at the moment?

"I’m quite partial to 'Closer' by Powerpoint and 'Imaginate' by Lawson & Sentience. Oh and my remix of 'You Don’t Stop' with Digital Cowboy coming out on Dropzone Records isn’t bad either!!!"

What quote or favourite saying do you live your life by?

"If your not living life on the edge, you’re taking up too much room! Or live fast, die young!!"

What's your favourite kinder egg toy?

"The plastic container the toy comes in!! If you squeeze it really hard it fires miles. Def more fun than the toy!!"

Flip flops look good on men?

"Debatable!! Cool if you’re cool!"

What's your favourite boy band?

"Bros!! Went to see them in concert in 1989."
