Buy Magic Mushrooms

Amsterdam Coffee Shops

As our regular readers will know, we're rarely ones to condone illicit drug taking, but in the name of 'tourist traditions' we're throwing out the normal rulebook - and if you believe that, well Santa's still alive.

We can highly recommend some heavy Double Zero for pollen lovers and a pinch of the killer White Widow for those who want to giggle.   Don't forget they have mucho shrooms for those who like to test their ability, just make sure you're with good friends, it's not your first time (very important) and you know you way back to the hotel.  Amsterdam is a trippy place at the best of times, let alone when you're really off your ed!

Bluebird

This was the friendliest coffee shop we visited whilst in Amsterdam (and trust me we visited quite a few).  It is a little out of town on the edge of the red light district but is definitely worth a visit (if only for the comfy sofa).  They sell a variety of quality hashish and grass and is all presented in a clear and helpful menu.  They sell organic "munchies" and great coffee, and this was one of the least "touristy" coffee shops we visited.

The verdict:  This coffee shop is a definite to visit on any trip to Amsterdam, has very friendly staff and is a good place to chill out to their funky tunes...

Some coffees, spliffs and many happy hours later we stager on into the city night.  Tempted by all our naughtiest vices as we walk.  More porn anyone?

Global Chillage

Another good coffee shop worth a visit, situated in the "arty" tourist district of the Liedesplien.  It is quite a small coffee shop but has a freaky decor and some pumping tunes.  Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and sells good coffee and weed.

Grasshopper

Worth a visit just because it was the first coffee shop in Amsterdam but is a bit "touristy" for my liking.  It is situated on 4 floors just round the corner from Dam Square on the side of one of the main canals.  People in there are very friendly and its has different floors that cater for different tastes.  It is a good place to take a break after crawling the red light district behind it or shopping till you drop in the many shopping centres near by.
