Dblo - Bangkok

The Dblo club opened on December 9th 2003 with a fantastic party complete with 25 circus performers! It's located at 4 Sukhumvit Soi 12, Klongtoey, Bangkok, beside the Sheraton Grande Sukumvit Hotel and a few minutes from the Asoke BTS station. The address may sound familiar to those who have been that way before in recent years, as it is the site of the spectacular but short lived Ministry of Sound Bangkok venue.

Having gone through some extensive renovation, equipment upgrades and entertainment redirection all glamorously re-launched as DblO Bangkok describes itself as a Bangkok's 'largest and most diverse entertainment complex'.
The venue has retained its awesome sound system (a Crown meets JBL technical heaven) although the new operators have turned the volume down on the main dance floor since the MoS days.
The whole concept is still based around providing high quality world class entertainment, it’s just that now there are five distinct elements to ensure that there is something for everyone. DlO Bangkok now features a lush landscaped Beer Garden which is ideal for chilling out.
A Live Music Pub "Sib Song" on the ground floor seems to host just about every Thai Rock and Pop band in the area... The main Dance Club still boasts the best sound system for miles around and is chocked full of beautiful people. On the Mezzanine floor is "Sugar" subtitled the Fashion Bar (whatever that means), it seems to be full of wanna-be advertising/media types having fun in the retro 70's chic "club within a club" with the DJ spinning mostly 80's British electronic music.
On the other side of the room is the "Loft" which is the VIP section. Overlooking the main dance floor, this open deck style loft space with comfortable sofa seating is just the place to people watch for a while whilst sampling the delights of one of the many Bars in the place.
Various promotions are already underway with Phats and Small performing there for one night on the 27th of December and a Tribal Tech House night promised for January the 9th. The advertised entertainment program features a mixture of international DJs' performing in many different styles, coupled with high energy music from the Clubs resident entertainment team. There is even a weekly Ladies night every Wednesday with no cover charge and 2 free drinks for just the girls, as well as promising male dancers, fashion shows and plenty of other female orientated pampering.
The Club is open Tuesday through to Sunday from 11pm until 2am; the time when ALL clubs in Thailand unfortunately now have to close.
The normal cover charge is 150 Baht although this rises to 250Baht on Fridays and Saturdays.
