Fingertapp featuring Hazel Fernandes
"You Can’t Talk About Love"

Released 25th August 2003

Grape Records is a fresh new label launched last summer, promising much on the basis of its debut release ‘Let Me Be Crazy’ which was out 26th May 2003 to critical acclaim.  The funky Frenchman Nicolas Bulostin who lives in London, having hailed from Paris, conceived Grape Records.  Bulostin is an incredibly talented musician / producer who now runs his own label focusing on house/club music.  Songwriter, producer, engineer and remixer Nicolas has previously worked with many gifted artists and released/remixed for numerous record labels so by now he knows the score!  His productions have recently been played on Radio 1 by DJ Lottie and even selected by Roger Sanchez for his recent ‘Release Yourself’ compilation!

This third release from Grape Records is an upbeat Motown-esque house track featuring the strong, soulful vocal talents of Hazel Fernandes.  The ‘Original Extended Club Vocal Mix’, is an Ibiza funk ridden house track with superb vocals.  The sing-a-long lyrics and uplifting violin strings raise things higher and higher as the bass kicks and tiny snares clap happily away, producing an elegant, yet sexy and swinging vocal house winner.  Even according to the S Man (Roger Sanchez) himself "I like the ‘You Can’t Talk About Love’ particularly, it’s a very funky track".

On the flip side there’s the ‘Noise & Us Vox Dub’ a more stompy, punchy effort by Tom Noise & Dan Tait who build the track up from a minimal intro into an epic dub of the original melody. The vocals of Hazel are cut up, filtered and layered, (gospel style) for maximum dance floor effect and credibility. There’s also an ‘Afterfunk Mix’ and ‘Radio Edit’ of this energetic track for your aural pleasure!

We can't wait for more much more juicyness from Bulostin and the boys, just remember you heard it from the Grape vine.
