Grape Records launches - summer 2003!

Grape Records is a fresh new label launching this summer, which promises much on the basis of its debut release ‘Let Me Be Crazy’ which was out 26th May.  The funky Frenchman Nicolas Bulostin who lives in London, having hailed from Paris, conceived Grape Records.  Bulostin is an incredibly talented musician / producer who now runs his own label focusing on house and club music - Grape Records.

Songwriter, producer, engineer and remixer Nicolas has previously worked with many gifted artists and released/remixed for numerous record labels so by now he definitely knows the score!  His productions have recently been played on Radio 1 by Lottie and even selected by Roger Sanchez for his recent ‘Release Yourself’ compilation!  Thus Bulostin’s first Grape track is mature, funky, dynamic house at its very best, utilising technology but not forgetting the music, which is pretty much the ethos of groove filled Grape productions!  Chunky, house music destined to go off with DJ’s anytime during their set…  Giving you instant club classics, check out the forthcoming bunch of juicy releases from Grape Records!

With various artists and a mixed volume Grape Records have been producing some fine naturally sparkling house music!  The debut 12" has so far been played out by DJ’s as diverse as Timo Garcia at Babushka, Bootsie at The Cross/Pacha/Groovetech (London) and Tedd Patterson (NYC) & Palash (Washington), both in the US.  Grape 002 ‘Music Brings Us Together’ goes out via Topplers on 26th June and is quickly followed up with Grape 003 'You Can’t Talk About Love' 25th July 03.  Finally Grape 004 looks set for a 10th September release...

"I got it!  It’s lovely. I’m adding the Dub to my box!" Tedd Patterson, NYC

"I love the CD sampler! ALL the tracks are really cool, some are stronger than others but I love the production and Grape sound - It’s stuff I would most definitely play out!  Can’t wait to get them on vinyl!"  Pete Doyle

"Let Me Be Crazy" -  "This debut release from the newly formed Grape label in France (you know those Frenchies know their grapes!), has a melody that sounds a lot like Narcotic Thrusts "Safe From Harm" and drums and grooves with more of a deep house flavour!" Joyryde Records

"Let Me Be Crazy... we like this one.  Now lets kick this write up by saying I don t know who the hell this guy is but if this is anything to go by we are gonna be hearing a lot of him in the days to come.  There is two mixes and both are heavy chunky electro flavoured housers with a bit of a cheeky touch and sound a bit like an updated version of a certain old Sluts and Strings classic.  2 mixes and both are equally strong!"  Watts Music, USA

"…I love it, I only got the ‘Crazy’ vinyl the Saturday afternoon and I span it as a second tune in my set before Roger that night!" Tom De Neef

"I like the 'You Can’t Talk About Love' particularly, it’s a very funky track; 'Don’t Step On My Trunk' was kind of strange but has great potential" Roger Sanchez (US)
