Hed Kandi Beach Bar - Launch Party Review
World's First Hed Kandi Bar Opening - 31 March 2007
When the doors opened at 10pm, there already stood an enthusiastic crowd eager to witness the grand
launch party of the world’s first Hed Kandi Beach Bar.
Situated on Egypt’s beautiful Red Sea coast in
Hurghada city (10 minutes away from Ministry of Sound’s Beach Club), a pink Hed Kandi illumination quickly grabs the eye of anyone in the vicinity.
 A palm-tree clad sandy path leads to multi-tinted entrance; a sight more chic than anything witnessed in
Africa before.
Inside long flowing curtains, candles and creative design revitalise this venue. More beds and sunken pits offer oodles of chilled spots alongside ample tables to sample the all-new award winning (or at least deserving) al-la-carte menu. Outside encompasses hammocks complimenting the comfy low-level seating and shisha pipes.

As the truly continental crowd filed in, complimentary
 champagne and CDs were handed out. Playing host (or hostesses as it were), are two gorgeous
Hed Kandi girls (Vicki and Kaylee). This adds an extra unique element to the vibe, and again is yet another first for the area.
 Next up on the wheels of steel and continuing the feminine touch, is DJ Miss Kelly Marie. Having established herself internationally with a solid reputation as one of Hed Kandi’s hottest new stars – she certainly doesn’t fail to deliver with her quality funky, pumping set.
As she
 warmed to Egypt (excuse the pun) the punters warmed to her – Miss Marie’s infectious smile proving just as contagious as the music and dancing itself.
By this time the best part of one thousand revellers comprising of the city’s finest VIPs and clubbers are all having the time of their lives. Never before has Africa witness such a party!
As the evening draws into the early hours, no-one wants to leave. The doors finally close sometime after 4am with everyone feeling they were part of something incredible. They weren’t wrong.
