Swedish house heads Laid invite you beachside, as they conjure up a balmy brew of deep house grooves, lenitive vocals and all manner of electro-tinged workouts, with their debut artist album "A Room From You".

From the first swirling strains of album opener "Home" and across the following ten tracks, Laid sweep you up on a magic carpet ride through sun-kissed skies, unveiling a collection of emotive electronic gems as they go.

John Andersson & Johan Emmoth, aka Laid, are the creative force behind a raft of aliases, including Zoo Brazil, Cuba Computers, Nars and Outcold. The pair has steadily carved out a reputation for themselves as one of dance music's most innovative and respected production teams. In a club-oriented career they have released over sixty singles and forty remixes in less than six years. The pair have worked with some of the world's largest artists, including Fatboy Slim, Human League, Nitin Sawhney, James Holden, Blaze, Dirty Vegas, and Zoot Woman to name but a few. The boys have also notched up releases or remixes on top labels, including Music For Freaks, Paper Recordings, Yoshitoshi and 20:20 Vision.

"A Room From You" features collaborations with an array of talent, including Krister Linder, Emma Holmgren and Nevada. The album’s single "Believe In Me" also features the ever-captivating tones of the legendary Jon Marsh. Jon makes a rare vocal appearance on this dreamy slice of horizontal house, evocative of the Beloved's summer of love Balearic anthems. He also provides a Beloved remix for the single’s release package.

"Jon has been playing our tunes in his DJ sets for years and so we thought it would be cool to hook up with him to do a track," explains Anderson. "We were huge fans of his, so it was an honour to have him on the record."

With tastemakers such as Laurent Garnier, Nic Fanciulli, Erol Alkan and Pete Tong all singing the pair’s praises, "A Room From You" looks set to take it’s rightful place as an underground classic when it’s released via Loaded Records.
