Misstress Barbara - Come With Me

Released 15th May 2006

With a sense of maturity dawning, Misstress Barbara is the first to admit that her sound has shifted. "I have changed my sound a little, it’s not so hard and fast, but there’s one thing I can always recognise and that’s a damn good groove."

In the spring of 1996, Italian born Misstress Barbara got her first booking and has gone on to play all across the major cities from North and South America to Europe, Asia and Austrailia alongside respected artists such as Ritchie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Bjork and Carl Cox.

"I fell in love with techno ten years ago…" reflects Barbara, "but I started to feel as if I wasn’t pushing myself to my limits with the style I was playing. I’ve done this so long I feel I can play techno on three decks with my eyes closed. Then I realised how into minimal and electro I was and I fell in love all over again. I feed off good beats, whether they’re hard or mellow."

"Come With Me" starts off with a minimal and twisted intro-house sounds of "Too Hot" by Sebo K and "Feel Good" from Lorna. Some bouncy Trentmoller beats boing into the broken breaks style of ZDar’s "Don’t You Want".  Miss B’s first vinyl release on this album is the all new, provocatively titled "I Love You", an industrial sized, acid-bass monster. Keeping the uninterrupted beats rolling, Lemon 8’s "Model 8" (Barbara’s secret weapon) reverbs on to the Luciano remix of Argy’s "Love Dose".

Barbara’s second track "Eleven O Seven" calms things right down for that pre-midnight affair, and the youthful Nathan Fake, gets the first of two Dominic Eulberg reworks on "Dinamo".  Anders Trentmoller’s second is of course "Chameleon", which then ends with Eulberg’s second rework in the form of Oliver Koletzki’s "Der Muckenschwarm".

Misstress Barbara’s "Come With Me" album is released on Uncivilized World Records with distribution handled by Pinnacle.
