Radio 1 at Miami Winter Music Conference 2005

The BBC's Radio 1 returns to the annual Miami Winter Music Conference for a series of broadcasts and parties on 25th and 26th March as part of the 'In New Music We Trust USA' Tour.

The station will host a mammoth sixteen hour party at Nikki Beach on Friday 25th March. To kick off proceedings that day Pete Tong broadcasts his Essential Selection live from Nikki Beach garden with some very special guests such as Deep Dish, Sandy Rivera and Max Sedgley.

This will be followed up by a huge free off-air party that starts in Nikki Beach's Garden with guests like Behrouz and Deep Dish. Then downstairs Global Gathering will host a room featuring hot names like Oliver Lang. Finally Pearl upstairs at Nikki Beach will continue with Lee Cabrera and Max Graham and more.

On Saturday 26th March, Radio 1 brings listeners more hot live radio shows with Judge Jules, Fergie and Essential Mix who will be broadcasting live from Nikki Beach with some of the biggest guest DJs and PAs in the world. Joining Radio 1 once more will be Radio 1 residents Nic Fanciulli and Eddie Halliwell.

Radio 1's Fergie will also host a 'busking booth' for the first time at Miami WMC, he will be cruising Ocean Drive in his hummer and collecting CDs from budding musicians and producers, the winning CDs will get played live on-air.

'In New Music We Trust USA' sees Radio 1 travel far and wide to broadcast live across America. From Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles and Texas, the station will be discovering brand new music from brand new artists, and letting listeners hear them first.

With a return to Nikki Beach, the most glamorous venue under the South Beach sunshine, Radio 1 promises listeners and party-goers a Miami WMC to remember.
