Mayrhofen is an archetypal Austrian ski resort, nestled in the heart of the Zillertal Valley. The main streets are lined with houses and buildings straight off the top of a chocolate box and lederhosen are worn without a hint of irony. For one week in April though, Mayrhofen will play host to the biggest line up of music on snow in Europe. Snowbombing is in sight and they’ve got some amazing artists coming along!

SBH are picking up in various cities throughout the UK and driving overnight in luxury executive coaches for an afternoon drop off right in the middle of Mayrhofen. No airport parking, no check in queues, no baggage reclaim, no transfers… Just get on the coach, kick back, have a drink, watch a few films, catch some zeds and before you know you’re in right in the middle of the action.

With the budget packages there’s a choice of accommodation, from self catering apartments to 4* hotels. So whether you fancy relaxing in luxury and ordering room service or crashing out and chilling with mates there’s an option available.

Now, the line up. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, it did. Tayo’s Tracksuit Party is returning in sports casual style, with Felix from the dance floor conquering Basement Jaxx, dance music royalty Norman Jay and all round good guy Frank Tope joining the man himself for a night of dub & rocksteady, hip hop and funk plus some fine style 0-the 4/4 house music boom bip.

Radio One’s Annie Mac and Boutique resident Touché will be swapping allegiances for one night when they represent Newcastle’s Wax:On club at their first ever Snowbombing party, and Mixmag’s club of 2005, secretsundaze, will be there, keeping it on the lowdown.

Audio Bullys will be playing under the Chibuku Shake Shake banner, 2ManyDJs and Radiosoulwax Presents Niteversions (live) will be doing the honours for Bugged Out! and DJ wunderkind will be James Zabiela will be heading up the backtobasics line up.

Bench, marvelous clothing brand and fellow Manchester residents, are coming to Mayrhofen with us in April to host the Bench Mountain Terrace for the whole of Snowbombing 2006. The Bench Mountain Terrace will reflect the ethos of the brand with a laid back vibe - think deckchairs in spring sunshine 1800m up. It’ll be THE place to kick back and relax after a day on the slopes or a night on the tiles… or both.
