Solu Music ft KimBlee - Fade

Released 12th June 2006
Summer’s coming and that means huge, bright, feel good anthems! What better contender for the summer tune of 2006, than the imminent release of the Pete Tong championed "Fade" by Solu Music’ featuring KimBlee, out on Hed Kandi on 12th June 2006.
Following the huge success of Hed Kandi’s earlier release "Put Em High" by Stonebridge, this track - remixed by Grant Nelson amongst others - has been destroying many a dancefloor (you’ll definitely know it when you hear it) on the underground house scene for the last 6 months and encapsulates the Hed Kandi vibe.
Fans of this track will be glad they can finally get their hands on this, as Fade has been heavily featured on many compilations, including Hed Kandi’s globally popular "World Series", "Disco Heaven" and "Beach House" compilations and has been a guaranteed floorfiller in clubs around the world over the last three years. A huge tune in the Hed Kandi stable, like Stonebridge, Solu Music look set to become even bigger with radio support that includes Radio 1, Kiss 100, Capital FM and the Galaxy network to name a few.
Having made a significant impact on the deep house fraternity, it quickly caught the attention of legendary DJ, producer and organiser of Body & Soul parties, Francois K who became an instant champion of Solu Music. After remaining in many discerning DJ’s boxes ever since its US release, "Fade" was exclusively licensed by his label Wave Music before Hed Kandi picked it up for its UK release.
The track has been remixed by the likes of UK DJ / producer Grant Nelson and rising stars Solid State (Latin tinged grooves and floating guitars) and Bimbo Jones - producer of Meck’s No 1 tune "Thunder In My Heart Again" alongside the revered original Eric Kupper version.
It seems a whole new audience will soon be falling in love with the Solu Music sound. Mr Nelson’s vocal mix is already tearing up the country’s hottest clubs, having topped the Buzz, Cool Cuts & Music Week Club Charts with only a limited mailout. "Fade" has also been given the accolade of Pete Tong’s 'Essential New Tune' and Judge Jules' 'Funky Tried & Tested'.
Solu Music is the brainchild of stateside residents Howie Caspe and Dano Nathanson. In addition to being a production outfit, Solu Music is also their record label, and the label that the record was first released on. "Fade" draws comparisons with other soaring, anthemic classics such as Kings Of Tomorrow’s "Finally" and features the stunning vocal talents of KimBlee, who Solu met in the summer of 2000. "KimBlee came by Howie's apartment to audition and completely blew our minds," explains Dano. "She just has a hypnotising sound, you don't hear someone like her very often."
The video to accompany the UK release features drop-dead gorgeous girls and sensationally brings the signature Kandi imagery to life. Watch this one fly and dominate every dancefloor!
