Swain & Paris - What Is This

Released 24th April
Although Kevin Swain & Luis Paris have been DJing and producing in their own rights for many years, they only recently decided to put their heads together in the studio….and thank god they did! "What is This" is a fiery, stomping, electro-house beast with roaring analogue synths and gritty, techy production. It has already been gaining support from some of the biggest players in the industry, with Steve Lawler loving it so much he put it on his "Lights Out 3" compilation before it had been picked up by Spin Out
Records!
Kevin Swain has been producing music for over 10 years under several different aliases including Mashup, Menace, Swain & Snell, and Kade. He has released and remixed tunes for labels like Plastic Fantastic, Yoshitoshi, and Low Pressings. Luis Paris is currently playing on the global circuit, having just returned from a tour of Russia and Eastern Europe, as well as making regular trips to South America, Western Europe and Asia. He has just secured a new residency at Club Global (Lithuania), and new night
Twisted Underground as well as started his own night Shake It! He has been working closely with many accomplished producers such as Martin Sharp, Nigel Dawson and Tim Healey (Of Coburn Fame) with whom he produced the massive 2004 smash "Blue".
The Swain & Paris label debut is equalled to a self-conscious electro jacking fiend, a friendly, speaker-hogging dude who adores those block-rocking beats and endless mashed up synths. A style and ethos that sits perfectly at home with the Guildford based record label.
Despite the fact that this track sells itself, Spin Out has pulled out all the stops to deliver two of the hottest remixes you are likely to hear this year:
The first comes from the incredible Dylan Rhymes, the man responsible for "Naked and Ashamed" and worldwide club smash "Salty". He brings his new electro-tech sound to Spin Out, in the same vein as his album hit "Fashion Kills", and boy does it kick off!! Dylan tames down the original, tweaks the vocals and adds his own solid house grooves.
On the flip we bring you yet another superb remix from breakbeat’s current hottest property, Metric. Metric chops & cuts like the end is nigh, keeping the speaker pushing bass and electro feel throughout.
Tune in, turn on, Spin Out!
