Tim Deluxe - The Little Ginger Club Kid

Released 29th September 2003
"The Little Ginger Club Kid" is the debut album from Tim Deluxe and features a whole host of partners in crime… Ben Onono (co-wrote "It Just Won’t Do") is back with "Choose Something Like A Star", destined to be an anthem for years to come, and on "2 Kool 4 Skool" a quasi-tribal sounding track. Sam Obernik (vocals "It Just Won’t Do") is the guest on "Heavy Weather".
The sexy "Less Talk More Action" has already been played non-stop on many dance floors and MTV channels worldwide… It's catchy sassy lyrics are smoothly delivered with a soulful and samba themed background. Ever jazzy and juicy the fruit continues to fall from a branch of the Underwater tree. Happy picking Tim.
Next up "What A Life" (Amsterdam) features The Bugsta (aka Bugsy), Audio Bullys style about dare we say, how the grass is always, well - greener on the other side in those back streets of the 'Dam. Masterfully followed by Electro-clash 80’s punk influenced "2 Kool 4 Skool" with it's rebellious tribal beats, again featuring the all star cast of regulars Ben Onono and Terra Deva. The classic 2002 released award winning debut on Underwater "It Just Won’t Do" with the gorgeous Sam Obernik playing volleyball in hot pants and bikini on the video, hmm very nice…
A couple of idyllic encounters with Miss Deva's amazing efforts on "Story Of You And Me", proving why she's an Underwater favourite and "Battle" featuring Mr Onono. The later, a light Ibiza terrace type of material that sounds classically like electric guitars strings and soothing mellow vocals. "Mundaya" (meaning The Boy) contains the Asian flavours courtesy of the fantastic Shahin Badar (Prodigy vocalist on "Smack My Bitch Up") for a tribal touch with a heady mix of bongo drums...
For the "Little White Ship" imagine yourself, a few friends and a chill out PA at sunset on the glorious white isle of Ibiza and that’s where this track should be heard, if you ever get the opportunity that is! Another of Tim's all time classic tracks comes in the form of ‘We All love Sax’ with the unforgettable sounds of high-pitched synths and a soul filled saxophone player named Dog Sax at a funky US Garage pace that still causes mayhem even now!
Picking up the pace for the last one on this album "Choose Something Like A Star" featuring Mr Onono mubling some obviously enhanced words of wisdom to a haunting techy closure to Tim’s debut artist album - and what a start!
If this is anything to go by the Little Ginger Club Kid, can only grow and develop his skills after a massive boost from the Underwater Records camp courtesy of Darren Emerson et all.
