Well Umek needs little in the way of introductions these days, he’s renowned worldwide for playing and producing some of the very best in electro, dirty tech-house and awesome techno, playing all over the globe and at the most prestigious events with the world’s leading DJs.
With his new style defined as "astrodisco" style, Uros Umek has come even closer to the electro house crowds that simply adore him. At the end of the summer you can expect his first release on his new label; the aptly titled Astrodisco Records.
Umek’s latest EP comes via the Jesus Loved You label and is chock full of European electronic goodness. "Another Matter Entirely" features sampled lyrics and a dirty, tech-fuelled barrage of beats.
Where as on the flipside "Love, Peace And Hippies" steps up the momentum and kicks like a proverbial mule. Magical melodies will leaf you smiling and searching for a techno tree to hug.
Having just been adopted by London based management group Serious Promotions, Umek will join artists like Norman Jay and Radio 1’s own Judge Jules, meaning of course, we should all be hearing a lot more from the undisputed King Of Slovenian Dance Music.
