The UMA awards are one of the only credible music award ceremonies in the world. This year we have also added 7 categories by our inclusion of the urban music awards within the UMA’s. The UMA awards are in recognition of the various artists / DJ’s / musicians / labels / club nights that make up the vibrant underground, dance, and urban music scene. The UMA awards are also proud to celebrate others who have emerged from this vibrant underground and urban music scene to become internationally credible and recognised artists.

This year we aim to promote our campaign 'Buy British Music' launched last year to promote music made in Britain by extending broadcast on three leading mainstream Television Channels. (The first ever British awards ceremony to be broadcast on 3 TV Channels simultaneously).

Nominees are received from the public, companies, labels, management, media, etc. Voting is strictly via public.
