Launch of wePod, the CD conversion service for iPod/MP3 owners

The service long-awaited by iPod owners has been launched. For many iPod owners, the brilliance of the music machine has been offset by the amount of time needed to download their music collection onto it. It is believed that many of the iPods given at Christmas are still in their boxes as initially thrilled recipients struggled to find the 40 hours or so required to download an average CD collection onto their iPod.

All that has now changed.

wePod, a brand new Soho based company, converts entire CD collections into compressed audio format, downloads them onto the collection owner's iPod and supplies a back-up portable hard drive of the collection.

For the iPod owner, the service could not be simpler:

1. The iPod owner calls wePod on 020 7851 0725.
2. wePod collect the CD collection and iPod.
3. wePod return the CDs and the loaded iPod, together with a back-up portable hard drive of the collection, within 5 days.

The wePod service is currently available in Central and Greater London. The cost is £1 per CD (minimum 100) plus collection/delivery and optional hard drive fee.
