Following the industry buzz created with Deep Haven’s first single (Big Brooklyn Red’s "He Moves"), Deep Haven’s commitment to bringing the classic sounds of yesterday with the progressive beats of today continues with the label’s second release, "My Light" by WOZ featuring Dirty Turk, produced, mixed and engineered by Scott Wozniak.

As a New York session player since 1986, Scott Wozniak ("Woz") has worked with many artists including Pink, Toni Braxton, Blu Cantrell, Jill Scott, Beyonce, Shannon, and many more. He has produced, remixed and released tracks on classic dance labels Nervous, Freeze, Cutting & Emotive Records in the early 1990's. Over the last decade, Wozniak has produced, mixed, engineered, remixed and played multiple instruments on records for virtually every dance label that matters. Wozniak also founded NYC indie label InnerVibe Music in 2002 with production team Mateo & Matos.

This track has all the signature sounds of a Deep House classic - rolling bassline, rhythm and blues piano, and a euphoric melody. The original mix features Dirty Turk’s spoken-word vocals which add an uplifting touch to the track. Woz’s deep, sexy house vibe is accentuated by Turk’s soft vocals, a groovy bassline and a profound synth riff. This silky, smooth fusion of sounds keeps us in tune with the upbeat tempo of the song as we’re taken along for the soulful ride.

The Dub Version is instrumental with additional synthesized harmony for that extra dose of soulful bliss, which should keep heads bopping for quite some time. Woz has done it again with this deeply funky house track that will undoubtedly become a big room pleaser and a lounge favourite.
