Previewed from the new album "Makeshift Feelgood" (released late September) also on Skint Records. The LP features collaborations with Kurt Wagner [Lambchop], Tim De Laughter [Polyphonic Spree], Anthony Roman [Radio 4], Bernard Fowler [ex-Peech Boys] and Kissing The Pink amongst others.

Focusing on their more deep and tribal beats, X Press 2’s "Kill 100" opens with a steady tone and melody combination that underlies a stompy, electronic song-based track. The 80s-esque vocals from The Music's Rob Harvey, sees the boys working under a darker light, yet keeping the production skills just as bright as ever. With the original spanning almost all of six minutes, current rehashes includes one techy, bass-heavy remix from one of Detroit’s hottest Carl Craig.

Carl’s mix singles out the vocals and piano keys, enhances the hi-hats and dirty-dub undertones whilst keeping things both melodic and slightly twisted. Time-stretching things to over nine minutes of enchanting shit, no doubt this one will be popular in those sweaty backroom clubs…

To coincide with the release of "KILL 100" the boys have setup a remix competition. X-Press 2 have opened up and made the remix parts available to all budding musicians, DJs, fans, producers and remixers of all styles out there. The aim is to gain 100 approved remixes and make them available for download. All parts of the single are included on the microsite. All you need to do is accept the general terms and conditions download the parts and then the rest is up to you! X-Press 2 will be playing live for the first time at all the best festivals this Summer. The boys will be previewing the new "Makeshift Feelgood" album alongside X-Press 2 classics.
